When renting an AVIS car the client will be asked to accept or decline any of the optional coverage's or insurances. If the customer initials to accept the coverage's and/or the insurances the client will NOT be reimbursed.

 

CONDITIONS

Currency: New Israeli Shekel (NIS).

 

Local tax: 15.5%. Tax applies to all rentals in Israeli.

Exception:

TAX is not charged to tourists entering Israel with a foreign passport stamped with a B2, B3 or B4 Visa.

TAX is not charged to Israeli citizens bearing dual citizenship.  

TAX is not charged to minibuses that carry 10 or more passengers (groups K and M).  

 

Driver's License: A valid driver's license, issued in the renter's country (and passport if license does not have photograph) must be presented at time of rental. International driver's license will be valid if shown with renter's drivers license. An international drivers license will be required for non Roman alphabet licenses.

For minibuses with a minimum of 8 passengers, a driver’s license indicating the correct category will be required.

Driver's license must be minimum 2 years old.

 

Minimum Age: 25 years.

Groups A: 21 years.

Groups B and C: 23 years.

Groups D, E and I: 26 years.

Groups F, G, H, J, K and M: 28 years.

(CDW is mandatory and in case of accident the charge and the responsibility will be duplicated).

Credit Card: An International credit card accepted by AVIS will be required at the time you collect your vehicle; said credit card will be blocked to be used as a guarantee and to cover any extra charge not included in the Voucher, such as, gas, insurance deductible, etc.

 Debit Cards: IMPORTANT; Are not accepted as deposit. Since credit cards issued in Latinamerica do not allow credits the deposits cannot be reimbursed.

MANDATORY CHARGES

Airport Fee: US$ 27.- plus tax per rental, in all rentals started and finished in Ben Gurion Airport. 

 

Fiscal stamp: 0.4% on the total of the rental including TAX.

 

Surcharge for minors drivers (between 21 and 25 years): US$ 7.- per day plus tax, up to a maximum of 10 rental days plus tax.

 

OPTIONAL CHARGES

Additional Driver: US$ 3.- plus tax per day, per driver.

Child Safety Seat: US$ 3.- per day plus tax.

 

Pick-up and Drop-off:

From/to Ovda and Tiberias Cities: US$ 30.- plus tax.

From/to other Cities: US$ 20.- plus tax.

Domestic Drop off charge: From/to Eliat City free of charge, with a minimum requirement of a 3-day rental.

 

A vehicle rented in Israel cannot get out of the Country.

 

INSURANCE & COVERAGE

In case of damage or theft of an AVIS vehicle:
If CDW/TP is declined: The amounts of table will be applied (Responsibility).
If CDW/TP is accepted: Only the deductible will be applied.

Personal Accident Insurance (PAI): US$ 3.- per day plus tax.


 Insurance Extension to Personal Effects (Super PAI): N/A.

 

Super CDW: With the purchase of this coverage, the client is not responsible in case of damage of collision total or partial of the vehicle.

Groups A, B, C, D, O: US$ 4.50 per day plus tax.

Groups E, F, G: US$ 5.50 per day plus tax.

Groups H, I, J, K, L, M, N, P: US$ 6.50 per day plus tax.
