GENERAL CONDITIONS IN VENEZUELA

When renting an AVIS car the client will be asked to accept or decline any of the optional coverage's or insurances. If the customer initials to accept the coverage's and/or the insurances the client will NOT be reimbursed.

 

CONDITIONS

Local Currency: VEB.

 

TAX: 14.50%.

 

Reservation: Must be placed with AVIS at least 48 hours prior from departure from the country.

 

Minimum Rental: 3 days.

 

Minimum/Maximum Age: 25 years / none.

 

Driver's License: Valid drivers license from country of origin.

 

Credit Card: An International credit card accepted by AVIS will be required at the time you collect your vehicle; said credit card will be blocked to be used as a guarantee and to cover any extra charge not included in the Voucher, such as, gas, insurance deductible, etc.

 
 Debit Cards: IMPORTANT; Are not accepted as deposit. Since credit cards issued in Latinamerica do not allow credits the deposits cannot be reimbursed.
 

ADDITIONAL CHARGES

LDW (Mandatory): US$ 13.- per day, only in a robbery case. Covers damage to the AVIS car as a result of an accident or theft as well as loss of accessories. In case of accident, theft or car accessories loss, customer is fully covered if a validated police report is presented. Failure to provide a police report may result in the charge of 100% of the damages. The renter will be responsible for the full cost of the damage if the car is driven in violation of the rental agreement, is abused or driven recklessly or while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

 

ALI: US$ 1.- per day, covers VEB 20.000.000.- (approx. US$ 28.500.-).

 

Personal accident insurance (PAI): US$ 1.- per day. Provides accidental death and medical expense benefits to the renter and all passengers in the AVIS car. This may be purchased for a nominal fee at time of rental.

 

Additional driver: US$ 2.- per driver, per rental (no charge for wife/husband). Minimum Age: 30 years (including wife/husband). All additional drivers have to be registered at time of rental and must meet AVIS qualification standards.

 

Refueling service: A refueling service charge will be incurred if a car is returned with less fuel than when rented.

 

ONE WAYS: One Way rentals are allowed at applicable fees including mainland and the island of Margarita. No fee applies for one way rentals within the same city. Cars are not allowed outside Venezuela.
