GENERAL CONDITIONS IN ST. LUCIA

When renting an AVIS car the client will be asked to accept or decline any of the optional coverage's or insurances. If the customer initials to accept the coverage's and/or the insurances the client will NOT be reimbursed.

 

CONDITIONS

TAX: None.

 

Reservations: Reservation must be placed with AVIS at least 48 hours prior from departure from the country.

 

Minimum Rental: 3 days.

 

Minimum/Maximum: 25 years / 70 years.

 

Driver's License: Valid drivers license from country of origin (minimum 3 years old) and local permit, which may be acquired for US$ 21.- and will be valid for three months. An International credit card will be required.

 

Credit Card: An International credit card accepted by AVIS will be required at the time you collect your vehicle; said credit card will be blocked to be used as a guarantee and to cover any extra charge not included in the Voucher, such as, gas, insurance deductible, etc.

 Debit Cards: IMPORTANT; Are not accepted as deposit. Since credit cards issued in Latinamerica do not allow credits the deposits cannot be reimbursed.

 

ADDITIONAL CHARGES

Collision damage waiver (CDW): US$ 17.- per day. The renter and/or driver is responsible for theft or damages to the AVIS car up to ECD, 5,400.00 (US$ 2,000.00 approx.). This responsibility may be partially waiver to a deductible of ECD 1,350.00 (US$ 500.- approx.), (required as deposit at time of rental) if collision damage waiver is purchased. A deposit equal to the customers liability amount is required from renter at time of check out. Renter is responsible for damaged tires, traffic violations, and missing items from vehicle, regardless if Collision Damage Waiver is taken or not. The renter will be fully responsible if the car is driven in violation of the rental agreement, is abused or driven recklessly or while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

 

Governmental Fee: US$ 5.- per day.
 

Additional Driver: US$ 10.- per driver, per rental. All additional drivers have to be registered at time of rental and must meet AVIS qualification standards.

 

Refueling Service: A refueling service charge will be incurred if a car is returned with less fuel than when rented.

 

One Way Rentals: One Way rentals are allowed within AVIS locations at no charge. Cars are not allowed outside St. Lucia.
