GENERAL CONDITIONS IN ST. BARTHELEMY

When renting an AVIS car the client will be asked to accept or decline any of the optional coverage's or insurances. If the customer initials to accept the coverage's and/or the insurances the client will NOT be reimbursed.

 

CONDITIONS

TAX: None.

 

Reservations: Reservation must be placed with AVIS at least 48 hours prior from departure from the country.

 

Minimum rental: 3 days.

 

Minimum/Maximum Age: 23 / none.

(Additional charge for driver between 23 and 24 years).

 

Driver's License: Valid drivers license from country of origin. An International credit card will be required. An International credit card will be required. 

 

Credit Card: An International credit card accepted by AVIS will be required at the time you collect your vehicle; said credit card will be blocked to be used as a guarantee and to cover any extra charge not included in the Voucher, such as, gas, insurance deductible, etc.

 
 Debit Cards: IMPORTANT; Are not accepted as deposit. Since credit cards issued in Latinamerica do not allow credits the deposits cannot be reimbursed.
 

ADDITIONAL CHARGES

Collision damage waiver (CDW): In the event of damage to the AVIS car, the renter will be required to pay a deductible of  US$ 500.- The renter will be responsible for the full cost of the damage if the car is driven in violation of the rental agreement, is abused or driven recklessly or while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

Group A and I: US$ 10.- per day;

Groups F, J, K and O: US$ 12.- per day,

 

Theft protection (TP): In the event of theft, the renter will be required to pay a deductible of US$ 500.- The costumer must return the AVIS keys of the rented vehicle and present the police declaration; otherwise, he will be responsible for up to the full cost of the vehicle.

Groups A and I: US$ 5.- per day;

Groups F, J, K and O: US$ 6.- per day.

 

ALI: US$ 5.- per day.

 

Personal accident insurance (PAI): US$ 4.- per day. Provides accidental death and medical expense benefits to the renter and all passengers in the AVIS car. This may be purchased for a nominal fee at time of rental.

In case of death or permanent incapacity the cover is up to: US$ 16.650.-

In case of medical expenses: US$ 830.-

 

Additional Drivers: US$ 5.- per day.

 

Surcharge for minors drivers between 23-24 years: US$ 5.- per day.

 

Refueling service: A refueling service charge will be incurred if a car is returned with less fuel than when rented.

 

One Way Rentals: Not applicable. Cars are not allowed outside St Barthelemy.
