GENERAL CONDITIONS IN PARAGUAY

Conditions   Insurance & Coverage   Optional Charges
 

When renting an AVIS car the client will be asked to accept or decline any of the optional coverage's or insurances. If the customer initials to accept the coverage's and/or the insurances the client will NOT be reimbursed.

 

 CONDITIONS

Moneda: Dólares (U$S).
 
 Local TAX: 5% (IVA).
 
 Reserves: 2 hours before.
 
 Minimum Age: 21 years.
 
 Driver's License: A valid driver's license, issued in the renter's country and passport if license does not have photograph, must be presented at time of rental.tografía.
Driver's license must be minimum 2 year old.
An international drivers license will be required for non Roman alphabet licenses.

 Credit Card: An International credit card accepted by AVIS will be required at the time you collect your vehicle; said credit card will be blocked to be used as a guarantee and to cover any extra charge not included in the Voucher, such as, gas, insurance deductible, etc.

Charge cards honoured by AVIS: Visa, Mastercard, American Express

In the event the passenger does not have a credit card, the rental must be prepaid.

 Debit Cards: IMPORTANT; Are not accepted as deposit. Since credit cards issued in Latinamerica do not allow credits the deposits cannot be reimbursed.


( ! ) All vehicles with pick up or drop off at Airport locations will be charged with a Service Tax of 10% of the total amount of the Rental Agreement.  

All vehicles with pick up or drop off at downtown locations will be charged with a Service Tax of 5% of the total amount of the Rental Agreement. 


( ! ) The reservation will be valid up to one hour after the pick up  time confirmed.
 

INSURANCE AND COVERAGE

Third party insurance (ALI Additional Liability Insurance Protection ): U$S 2.- per day.

 

ALI provides:

Protection in case of material damage, covers up to: Gs 10.200.000.- .

 

Protection in case of damage to persons: By accidental death and medical coverage of injuries  caused by an accident.

Up to 1 person: Gs 15.600.000.- per person

2 or more persons: Gs 31.200.000.-  for all persons.

 

PDW: (Mandatory) All categories pay a deductible of U$S 200.-  applicable in the event of damage to the vehicle and/or fire,

In the event of theft of the vehicle the franchise is 25% of the market price of the car.

In the event of collision, fire, theft of the vehicle a Police Report must be provided by the renter.
 

OPTIONAL CHARGES

Child Safety Seat: U$S 3.- per day plus TAX.

 

Additional Driver: U$S 2.- per rental plus TAX.

 

Border crossing: U$S 1.- per rental plus TAX.

 

Extension of International Coverage: U$S 3.- per day. 

 

Drop off tax: U$S 0.30 per km.

 

Pick up tax: U$S 5.- 

 
 Car washing: U$S 6.-
 
 Chauffeur/Driver Service: U$S 33.- (for 10 hours), extra hour U$S 6.60


 Fuel charge: AVIS provides clean vehicles with a full tank of gas, therefore they must be dropped off in the same conditions. In order to avoid inconveniences to the customer, the car can be cleaned and the tank fulfilled by AVIS (there will be an additional charge for this service).
 

Additional hour: The following charge will apply: one third of the daily rate for each extra hour plus one additional day charge as PDW coverage.
