GENERAL CONDITIONS IN MARTINIQUE

When renting an AVIS car the client will be asked to accept or decline any of the optional coverage's or insurances. If the customer initials to accept the coverage's and/or the insurances the client will NOT be reimbursed.

 

CONDITIONS

Local Currency: French Francs (FFR).

 

TAX: 8.5%.

 

Reservations: Reservation must be placed with AVIS at least 48 hours prior from departure from the country.

 

Minimum Rental: 3 days.

 

Minimum/Maximum Age: 21 years / None. Drivers under 25 years (21-24) will be charged a fee 16 Euros per day, up to a maximum of 10 days.

 

Driver's License: Valid drivers license from country of origin. An International credit card will be required.

 

Credit Card: An International credit card accepted by AVIS will be required at the time you collect your vehicle; said credit card will be blocked to be used as a guarantee and to cover any extra charge not included in the Voucher, such as, gas, insurance deductible, etc.

 
 Debit Cards: IMPORTANT; Are not accepted as deposit. Since credit cards issued in Latinamerica do not allow credits the deposits cannot be reimbursed.
 

ADDITIONAL CHARGES

CDW: In the event of damage to the AVIS car, the renter will be required to pay up to a total value of vehicle. This requirement will be waived to a deductible of up to € 1500.-, depending on vehicle rented, if the renter elcts to purchase the Collision Damage Waiver. The renter will be responsible for the full cost of the damage if the car is driven in violation of the rental agreement, is abused or driven recklessly or while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

Group A: FFR 70.- (approx. US$ 10.-) per day.

Groups B, G and M: FFR 75.- (approx. US$ 12.-) per day.

Not available for drivers who are less than 25 years.

 

PAI: FFR 20.- (approx. US$ 3.-) per day. Provides accidental death and medical expense benefits to the renter and all passengers in the AVIS car. 

 

TP: In the event of theft, the renter will be required to pay up to € 3000.-. This requirement will be waived to a deductible of up to € 1500.- depending on vehicle rented, if the renter elects to purchase the Theft Protection Coverage. In either case, the customer must return the AVIS keys of the rented vehicles and present the police declaration; otherwise, customer will be responsible for up to the full cost of the vehicle.

Groups A and B: FFR 30.- (approx. US$ 5.-) per day.

Groups G and M: FFR 35.- (approx. US$ 7.-) per day.

 

Additional driver: € 16.- per driver, per rental. All additional drivers have to be registered at time of rental and must meet AVIS qualification standards.

 

Airport surcharge: € 16.- per rental.

 

Refueling service: A refueling service charge will be incurred if a car is returned with less fuel than when rented.

 

One Way Rentals: One Way rentals are allowed between AVIS locations (on request) for a fee of 25.- Euros. Cars are not allowed outside of Guadaloupe.
