Driver's License:
The valid Driver`s License from the country of origin is mandatory. The
driver must present an International Credit Card (Visa, Mastercard,
American Express o Diners Club).
Credit Card:
An
International credit card accepted by AVIS
will be required at the time you collect your vehicle; said credit card will be
blocked to be used as a guarantee and to cover any extra charge not included in
the Voucher, such as, gas, insurance deductible, etc.
Debit
Cards: IMPORTANT;
Are not accepted as
deposit. Since credit cards issued in Latinamerica do not allow credits the
deposits cannot be reimbursed.
Ways
of payment:
International Credit Cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express or Diners
Club), AVIS Charge Cards and prepaid AVIS vouchers. Debit Cards, checks
and cash are not accepted.
Prepayment:
The amount of the rental must be paid at the moment of pick up. A valid
prepaid voucher should be presented at the counter at the moment of pick
up. Appart from the prepaid voucher, a credit card should be presented (to
cover charges not included in the prepaid voucher). All additional
charges not included in the voucher will be charged to the credit card
once the vehicle is returned.
Deposit:
A deposit made with an International Credit Card must be made in order
to pick up the car. For Grups A, B, C, D, E, F a deposit of
US$ 850.- is required and US$ 1,000.- for Grups P, O, I,
N. Neither chash nor traveller checks will be accepted as deposit or
final payment.

LDW: US$
50.- per day
with no deductible. The customer will be released of the responsability
for damage or colission. Theft or partial theft should be covered up to
20% by the customer. LDW does not cover damage to windscrens or
tires. An official report issued by the police must be show in order to
apply this coverage.
CDW: US$
10.- per day
with deductible. The customer will be released from partial
responsability in case of damage or theft. Theft of the vehicle or thef
of parts of the vehicle will be covered up to 20% by the customer.
Damage to windscreen or tires are not covered. An official report issued
by the police must be show in order to apply this coverage.

(Civil Liability):
US$ 5.-
per day,
with no deductible, mandatory in Guatemala. Covers up to US$ 10.000.- in
injury charges to pesons and damage to private property. An official report
issued by the police must be show in order for this coverage to apply.
PAI
(Medical Expenses):
US$ 2.- per day, provides coverage for medical charges incurred by the
driver and all the persons inside the Avis car in case of accidental death.
Additional
driver(s): US$ 5.- per driver, per rental. All additional
drivers must meet
AVIS qualification
standards.
Baby
seat:
: US$ 5.- per day.
Refueling service:
All vehicles are provided with full tank. Additional charge for fuel will be
charged if the vehicle is returned with less fuel than full tank.
