AVIS-CONDICIONES

GENERAL CONDITIONS IN GRAND CAYMAN

When renting an AVIS car the client will be asked to accept or decline any of the optional coverage's or insurances. If the customer initials to accept the coverage's and/or the insurances the client will NOT be reimbursed.

CONDITIONS

Local currency: Cayman Island Dollars (CID).

TAX: None.

Reservations: Reservation must be placed with AVIS at least 48 hours prior from departure from the country.

Minimum Rental: 1 day.

Minimum/Maximum Age:

21 years with AVIS and AVIS-honored charge cards and travel vouchers supported by a charge card / none.

25 years for cash rentals and travel vouchers requiring cash deposit / none.

Driver's License: Valid drivers license from country of origin and local permit, which may be acquired at the AVIS office for US$ 7.50 An International credit card will be required.

Credit Card: An International credit card accepted by AVIS will be required at the time you collect your vehicle; said credit card will be blocked to be used as a guarantee and to cover any extra charge not included in the Voucher, such as, gas, insurance deductible, etc.

Debit Cards: IMPORTANT; Are not accepted as deposit. Since credit cards issued in Latinamerica do not allow credits the deposits cannot be reimbursed.

ADDITIONAL CHARGES

Collision damage waiver (CDW): In the event of collision, the renter will be liable for the payment of the full value of the car or the repair thereof. If the renter chooses to purchase CDW, he will be partially liable, becoming in charge of a deductible and the estimated rental amount plus 20% will be blocked on his/her credit. The renter will be liable for the full cost of damages if the car is driven in violation of the rental agreement, or is abused or driven recklessly or under the influence of alcohol. Not available for drivers under the age of 25.

Personal accident insurance (PAI): Not available.

Vehicle Recovery Fee: US$ 3.- per day.

Additional driver: US$ 7.50 per driver, per rental. Minimum age 21 years. All additional drivers have to be registered at time of rental and must meet AVIS qualification standards.

Refueling service: A refueling service charge will be incurred if a car is returned with less fuel than when rented.

One Way Rentals: Allowed between AVIS locations at no charge at no charge. Subject to availability. Cars are not allowed outside Grand Cayman.
