GENERAL CONDITIONS IN EL SALVADOR

When renting an AVIS car the client will be asked to accept or decline any of the optional coverage's or insurances. If the customer initials to accept the coverage's and/or the insurances the client will NOT be reimbursed.

 

CONDITIONS

Local Currency: US Dollars (US$).

 

Tax: 13%.

 

Minimum: 1 day.

 

Minimum / Maximum Age: 25 / none.

(An additional charge will be applied to minors between 18 and 24 years. It will be paid at time of rental).

 

Driver's License: Valid drivers license from country of origin. An International Driver’s License will be required if it is not written in the Roman alphabet.

 

Credit Card: An International credit card accepted by AVIS will be required at the time you collect your vehicle; said credit card will be blocked to be used as a guarantee and to cover any extra charge not included in the Voucher, such as, gas, insurance deductible, etc.

 Debit Cards: IMPORTANT; Are not accepted as deposit. Since credit cards issued in Latinamerica do not allow credits the deposits cannot be reimbursed.

MANDATORY CHARGES

Airport Surcharge: 11%.

 

Circulation fee: US$ 6.- per rental plus tax.

 

OPTIONAL CHARGES

Additional Driver: US$ 5.- per day plus tax.

 

Minor driver supplement 14/24 years: US$ 10.- per day plus tax.

(CDW coverage is mandatory for drivers under 25 years old).

 

Child safety seat: US$ 5.- per day plus tax.

 

Refueling service: A refueling service charge will be incurred if a car is returned with less fuel than when rented.

ONE WAY RENTALS

One Way policy: Allowed  between AVIS locations Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador, additional charges may be applied. This service is to be confirmed.

INSURANCE & COVERAGE

CDW (Collision Damage Waiver): Theft, overturn, damages or collision insurance of the vehicle rented thereby reducing the payment responsibility of a deductible. It is mandatory for drivers under 25 years old.

Groups A, B, C, D, E, H, P: US$ 15.- per day plus tax.

Groups F, I, J, M, N, O: US$ 20.- per day plus tax.

Groups A, B, C: US$ 1.200.-

Groups D, P, E, F, H: US$ 1.500.-
 Groups I, J, M, N, O: US$ 2.000.-
 Groups J, O: US$ 2.000
Groups I, M,N: US$ 2.500

 

ALI (Additional Liability Insurance): US$ 10.- per day plus tax. Covers up to US$ 50.000.- Coverage in case of Damages to a third-party. This protection is Mandatory.

 

PAI (Personal Accident Insurance): US$ 3.- per day plus tax. Covers up to US$ 6.000.- Insurance of personal damages to the occupants of the rented car.

 

WTC (Windshield & Tires Cover): US$ 5.- per day plus tax. Coverage for tires and windshield. Front windshield, tire from flat and explosion.

 

Coverages Packages: Include ALI, LDW, PAI, WTC.

Groups A, B, C: US$ 25.- Deductible  US$ 1.200.-

Groups D, P, E, F, H: US$ 25.- Deductible  US$ 1.500.-

Groups J, O: US$ 29.- Deductible US$ 2.000.-
