Motor
vehicle Liability Insurance: Covers bodily injury caused by road or
off-road motor vehicles (specifically excepting bicycles, boats, trains and
aircraft) as follows:
Death: BRL 10.300.-
Permanent disability: up to BRL 10.300.-
Medical & supplementary expense reimbursement: up to BRL 2.000.-
In case of
accident, theft or damage to the vehicle it is mandatory to present a police
report and then fill in an
AVIS form were the events are described. If a client
does not accomplish this requirements will have to pay all costs related to the
fixing of the car, no matter the coverage type that has been hired.
Partial Damage Waiver (PDW):
The
PDW is not an insurance, is an optional coverage that releases the client
partially of the economic responsibility for damages to the
AVIS vehicle by collision or acts of vandalism.
Groups
A, B, C and D: BRL
20.- per day, with a deductible of BRL 1.500.-
Other groups: BRL
28.- per day, with
a deductible of BRL 3.000.-
Loss Damage Waiver
(LDW): The
LDW will release the
client of any financial responsibility by loss or damage of the rented car by, due to collision, robbery, vandalism or any other cause, as long as
the client is within the terms of the Contract with
AVIS.A
police report will be necessary to cover any loss or damage to the car.The renter will be responsible for the full cost of the damage if the car is
driven in violation of the rental agreement, is abused or driven recklessly or
while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
Groups A, B, C and D: BRL 25.- per day, without deductible
BRL 1.000.-
Other groups: BRL 35.-
per day, without deductible BRL 2.000.-
Personal Accident Insurance (PAI):
Personal Accident Insurance covers expenses for accidental death and
medical expenses to all passengers in AVIS
cars. This insurance may be taken for a small amount of BRL 3.-
per day, per number of occupants in the car, at the time of rental
covering up to BRL 5.000.-.
Third-party
insurance (ALI):

Protection against bodily injury and property damage to others for which the renter is legally liable due to his use or handling of the
AVIS
car with financial liability of renter of
AVIS
vehicle up to
BRL 1.000.- and with participation of the Rent a Car company up to the following limits:
· Property Damage: BRL 20.000.-
· Bodily Injury: BRL 30.000.-
· Daily Rates: All Groups: BRL 9.-
Administrative Fee: A 10% charge as Service Fee over
the total rental charge (not including fuelling service charge) will
apply.
One-Way
Rentals:
Car return shall
be only in preauthorized and preinformed places. Vehicles returned in
non-preauthorized places will be charged fee consisting of
BRL 0.95 per kilometer of
distance plus two (2) daily rates.
Cars can not be driven outside Brazil.
Child safety seat:
BRL 10.-
per day plus tax. (This service will not confirm automatically, it
will have to be required to
helpdesk@avis-int.com).
Refueling service:
A refueling service charge will be
incurred if a car is returned with less fuel than when rented.
Additional
driver: BRL 5.-
per day plus tax,
for each additional
driver, per rental day,
maximum three ( 3) additional drivers per rental. No surcharges will be
paid in case the additional driver is the renter’s spouse or she/he
belongs to the same company and is included in the rental agreement.
Minimum Age 21 years and driver's license with 2 years of validity.
