GENERAL CONDITIONS IN ANTIGUA

When renting an AVIS car the client will be asked to accept or decline any of the optional coverage's or insurances. If the customer initials to accept the coverage's and/or the insurances the client will NOT be reimbursed.

 

CONDITIONS

Local Currency: US Dollars (US$).

 

Tax: Free.

 

Reservations: with an anticipation of 48 hour.

 

Minimum Rental: 1 day.

 

Minimum/Maximum Age: 25 years / none.

 

Drivers License: Valid drivers license from country of origin, it also exists a local license, that will be purchased at the moment of the opening of the contract, that will be required by the AVIS personal. The charge is of US$ 20.-. The passenger must present an international credit card.

 

Credit Card: An International credit card accepted by AVIS will be required at the time you collect your vehicle; said credit card will be blocked to be used as a guarantee and to cover any extra charge not included in the Voucher, such as, gas, insurance deductible, etc.


Debit Cards: IMPORTANT; Are not accepted as deposit. Since credit cards issued in Latinamerica do not allow credits the deposits cannot be reimbursed.
 

ADDITIONAL CHARGES

Additional driver: US$ 10.- per driver, per rental.

 

Collision damage waiver (CDW): US$ 10.- per day. In the event of theft or damage to the AVIS car, the renter will be required to pay up to a total value of vehicle toward the repair of the vehicle. This requirement will be partially waived to a deductible if the renter elects to purchase the Collision Damage Waiver. The renter will be responsible for the full cost of the damage if the car is driven in violation of the rental agreement, is abused or driven recklessly or while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

Deductible: US$ 1000.-

Refueling service: A refueling service charge will be incurred if a car is returned with less fuel than when rented.

 

One Ways Rentals: One Way rentals are allowed within AVIS locations at no charge. Cars are not allowed outside Antigua.
