GENERAL CONDITIONS IN LUXEMBOURG

Conditions Mandatory Charges Optional Charges One Way Insurance & Coverage

When renting an AVIS car the client will be asked to accept or decline any of the optional coverage's or insurances. If the customer initials to accept the coverage's and/or the insurances the client will NOT be reimbursed.

CONDITIONS

Local Currency: Euros (€).

Local Tax: 15%.

Driver’s License: It is mandatory for all non-residents in Europe to bear the International Driver’s License which must be presented with the license of the country of origin. The latter must be at least one year old.

The International Driver’s License must be submitted along with the license of the country of origin before the police, the municipal authorities, etc. whenever required. Should the same be not held, it may result in severe fines and penalties that may reach the car seizure.

Minimum Age:

A-I, M-P: 23 years.
K-L: 30 years.

Minimum Rental: 3 days. Weekly rate 4-7days (it may vary according to rate).

Grace period to give the cars back: 29 minutes.

Credit Card: An International credit card accepted by AVIS will be required at the time you collect your vehicle; said credit card will be blocked to be used as a guarantee and to cover any extra charge not included in the Voucher, such as, gas, insurance deductible, etc.

Debit Cards: IMPORTANT; Are not accepted as deposit. Since credit cards issued in Latinamerica do not allow credits the deposits cannot be reimbursed.

MANDATORY CHARGES

Airport and Train Stations Fee: 16%. Minimum € 25.- plus tax for rentals starting at airports and train stations.

Eco Surcharge: € 2.- per rental plus tax.

OPTIONAL CHARGES

Additional Driver: € 25.- per driver, per rental plus tax.

Surcharge for driver minor of 25 years: € 10.- plus TAX per day, per driver, to a maximum of € 100.- plus TAX.

Luggage Rack: Not available.

Child Safety Seat: € 31.- plus TAX per rental. Request must be done with a minimum anticipation of 2 days.

Ski Rack: Not available.

Special conditions: A vehicle rented in Luxembourg can not be driven to: AFRICA, ALBANIA, BIELORUS, BOSNIA, BULGARIA, CROATIA, GREECE, CZECH REPUBLIC, ESTONIA, HUNGARY, LATVIA, LITHUANIA, MACEDONIA, MOLDOVA, POLAND, RUSSIA, ROMANIA, SLOVENIA, YUGOSLAVIA, TURKEY, UKRAINE AND MEDITERRANEAN ISLES.

Groups J, K, L: are not allowed in Italy.

INSURANCE & COVERAGE

In case of damage or theft of an AVIS vehicle:
If CDW/TP is declined: The amounts of table will be applied (Responsibility).
If CDW/TP is accepted: Only the deductible will applied.

In case of damage and/or theft an administration fee of € 75.- will be applied in addition to the deductible.

Personal Accident Insurance (PAI): € 5.80 per day plus tax.

Extension to Personal Effects Insurance (Super PAI): € 8.70 per day plus tax.
