When renting an AVIS car the client will be asked to accept or decline any of the optional coverage's or insurances. If the customer initials to accept the coverage's and/or the insurances the client will NOT be reimbursed.

 

CONDITIONS

Local Currency: Euros (€).

 

Local Tax: 19.60%.

 

Driver’s License: It is mandatory for all non-residents in Europe to bear the International Driver’s License which must be presented with the license of the country of origin. The latter must be at least one year old.

The International Driver’s License must be submitted along with the license of the country of origin before the police, the municipal authorities, etc. whenever required. Should the same be not held, it may result in severe fines and penalties that may reach the car seizure.

 

Minimum Age:
 Groups A, B, C, D, H, I, J, K, L: 21 years with prepaid voucher and credit card, 23 years with credit card.
Groups E, F, G, M, N, O: 25 years.

Groups Vans: 21 years with prepaid voucher and credit card, 23 years with credit card.

 

Credit Card: An International credit card accepted by AVIS will be required at the time you collect your vehicle; said credit card will be blocked to be used as a guarantee and to cover any extra charge not included in the Voucher, such as, gas, optionals charges, etc.
Groups F and M: 2 credit cards (Visa Premier, Visa Gold, Euro-Mastercard Gold, American Express) will be required.

 Debit Cards: IMPORTANT; Are not accepted as deposit. Since credit cards issued in Latinamerica do not allow credits the deposits cannot be reimbursed.

 

Minimum Rental: 3 days. Weekly rate 4-7days (it may vary according to rate).

 Grace period to give the cars back: 29 minutes.

MANDATORY CHARGES


Airport Fee: € 33.44.- per rental, tax included.

 Train Station Fee: € 33.44.- per rental, tax included.

 

Registration Fee: € 2.63.- per day, tax included, maximum 8 days.

 

Surcharge for minors  from 21 to 24 years (driver and additional driver): € 32.50.- per day, includes tax, maximum 10 days.


 Meet Late Arrival (flight delayed arrival after location closing time): between € 40.- tax included (from 1 to 3 hours delay).

Non Cancellation Fee: € 40.-  tax included.

 Out of Hours Delivery at Railway Stations: € 10.- per rental / Train Tickets must be shown at SNCF desk on arrival.

 Fine Administration Fee: € 20.- per rental

 Damage Administration Fee: € 35.- per rental

 

OPTIONAL CHARGES


Additional Driver: € 32.50.- per rental, per driver, tax included. Up to a maximum of two additional drivers per rental are allowed.

 

Baby Seat: From 0 to 3 years old (BBS-CSS) € 28,00.- per rental, tax included.

 Booster Seat: 3-4 years to 7 (SSS-CBS) € 9.- per rental, tax included.

 

Ski Rack: € 35.- per rental, tax included. Available for Groups A, B, C, D, E, G, H, J, K, O.

 

Snowboard Rack: € 35.- per rental, tax included. Available for Groups A, B, C, D, E, G, H, J, K, O and Geneve airport (CGV) and Lyon airport (LYS).

 

Snow Chains: € 35.- per rental, tax included. Available for Groups A, B, C, D, E, G, H, J, K, O.

 

Satellite Navigator (GPS):

GPS: € 11.- per day, tax included.

 

Pick up and drop off outside AVIS locations: € 19.-  tax included. The limit for this service is 10 kilometers from the rental location; if distance is exceeded there will be an additional charge of € 0.93 per additional kilometer, includes tax. Available from Monday to Friday, within office hours. Not available from Airport offices.

ONE WAY RENTALS

 

One Way Fees: Check with location

 Special conditions:

 
  Avis vehicles rented in France are allowed to travel into the following foreing countries: Andorra, Luxemburg, Austria, Norway,
     Belgium, Portugal, Denmark, Spain (Mainland), Finland, Sweden, Germany, Switzerland, Great Britain, The Netherlands and Italy.

   CDW, TP and PAI are not valid beyond these above mentioned territorial limits.

  Mercedes cars are not allowed to be driven into Italy.

   Avis vehicles rented in Continental France may be taken to Corsica but must be returned to the Continent. One way not allowed.

   In Mainland France (Excluding Corsica):
     Car Groups A,-B-C-D-E-F-H-K-M-N- and O: One Way is authorized between Avis Cities (for some rates, One Way fees apply in
     addition to the price).
     Group J and G: Must be returned to the renting location.
     Cargo Vans: Must be returned to the renting location (see special rates for One Way Rentals).
     Outside Country, Car Groups A-B-C-D-E-H-K and O: see European One Way Programme, maximun of EUR 1143.37.
     Charged Groups F-G-J-L-M and N: International One Way is not authorized.
     All Group: One Way rentals to the United Kingdom not allowed.
     Cargo Vans: 0ne Way is not authorized.

In case of damage or theft of an AVIS vehicle:
If CDW/TP is declined: The table amounts will be applied (Responsibility Full Value).

If CDW/TP is accepted: Only deductible will be applied.

Super CDW + TP: With the purchase of this insurance the client will be exempted of all financial responsibility in case of partial or total damages due to collision, robbery or theft of the vehicle.
