When renting an AVIS car the client will be asked to accept or decline any of the optional coverage's or insurances. If the customer initials to accept the coverage's and/or the insurances the client will NOT be reimbursed.

 

CONDITIONS

Local Currency: Danish Krone (DKR).

 

Local Tax: 25%.
 

Driver’s License: It is mandatory for all non-residents in Europe to bear the International Driver’s License which must be presented with the license of the country of origin. The latter must be at least one year old.

The International Driver’s License must be submitted along with the license of the country of origin before the police, the municipal authorities, etc. whenever required. Should the same be not held, it may result in severe fines and penalties that may reach the car seizure.

 

Minimum Age:

Groups A - E, G, K, P: 21 years.
Groups I, L, F, H: 25 years.
Cargo Vans: 21 years.

 Minimum Rental: 3 days. Weekly rate 4-7 days (it may vary according to the rate).

 Grace period to give the cars back: 29 minutes.

 

Credit Card: An International credit card accepted by AVIS will be required at the time you collect your vehicle; said credit card will be blocked to be used as a guarantee and to cover any extra charge not included in the Voucher, such as, gas, insurance deductible, etc.

 Debit Cards: IMPORTANT; Are not accepted as deposit. Since credit cards issued in Latinamerica do not allow credits the deposits cannot be reimbursed.

MANDATORY CHARGES

Airport Fee: DKR 275.- plus tax for rentals starting at Copenhagen Airport.

 

Domestic Airport Fee: DKR 125.- plus tax.

 Motor vehicle tax: DKR 50.- plus tax.

 

OPTIONAL CHARGES

Surcharge for minors drivers from 21 to 25 years: DKR 80.- plus tax.

 

Additional Driver: DKR 40.- per day, plus tax, (maximum 10 days).

 

Luggage Rack: DKR 500.- per rental, plus tax.

 

Child Safety Seat: DKR 150.- per rental, plus tax.

 

Ski Rack: DKR 500.- per rental, plus tax. 

 

Snow chains: DKR 150.- per rental, plus tax, only request and no confirm.

 

Winter Tires: DKR 1000.- (from 10 days) DKR1500.- (of 10 to 20 days) and DKR2000 (21 to 30 days) only request and don´t confirm.

Special Conditions: Vehicles are not allowed to enter Eastern Europe. Neither are allowed to/from Bonholm Island.

 

INSURANCE & COVERAGE

In case of damage or theft of an AVIS vehicle:
If CDW/TP is declined: The amounts of table will be applied (Responsibility).
If CDW/TP is accepted: Only the deductible will be applied.
