Drivers
License:
It is mandatory for all non-residents in Europe to bear the
International Drivers License which must be presented with the
license of the country of origin. The latter must be at least one year
old.
The
International Drivers License must be submitted along with the license
of the country of origin before the police, the municipal authorities,
etc. whenever required. Should the same be not held, it may result in
severe fines and penalties that may reach the car seizure.
Minimum Ages:
Group A:
18 years.
Group J: 25 years.
Rest Groups: 21 years.
4X4 cars, Luxury,
Convertibles, Porsche: 25 years.
(An additional charge will be applied
to minors between 21 and 25 years. It will be paid at time
of rental).
Minimum
Rental: 3 days.
Deposit:
Minimum
150.-
Grace
period to give the cars back:
29 minutes.
Debit
Cards: IMPORTANT;
Are not accepted as
deposit. Since credit cards issued in Latinamerica do not allow credits the
deposits cannot be reimbursed.
Credit Card
Requirements:
All car groups,
an
International credit card accepted by AVIS
will be required at the time you collect your vehicle excepton: groups
E-G-F-J.
Said credit card will be
blocked to be used as a guarantee and to cover any extra charge not included in
the Voucher, such as, gas, insurance deductible, etc.
Customer from Germany:
Groups E-G-F: one VISA / AMEX / DINERS / MASTER Card (plus
Passport) or one AVIS Charge Card or one AVIS Voucher (F or T) plus one
card are required.
Groups J: two different Avis excepted Credit Cards (no matter
which one) or one AMEX Gold / Platin or one AVIS Voucher (F or T) plus
one card are required.
Customer from abroad:
Groups E-G-F: one VISA / AMEX / DINERS / MASTER Card (plus
Passport) or one AVIS Charge Card or one AVIS Voucher (F or T) plus one
card are required.
Groups J: two different Avis excepted Credit Cards (one must be
gold - no matter which one) or one AMEX Gold / Platin or one AVIS
Voucher (F or T) plus one card are required.

Winter
Tax:
Between November 1,2011 and March 31,2012, who rented a car in Germany
must pay on arrival a charge of
11.-
per day (tax included) up to 10 days ( 110.-),
by way of "Winter Tax"
Airport
/ Railway Station Surcharge:
20%
on the all charges of the Rental Agreement, including optional charges,
one way domestic and international charges.
Registration
Fee:
1.25.-
per day, up
to a maximum
of 25.-
per rental.
Surcharge
for minors between 21 and 25 years:
11.90.-
per day, up to a maximum
of
119.-
per rental.
The
coverage CDW is mandatory for
drivers under 25 years old.

All cars in the fleet will be equipped with winter tires and an ice
scraper without prior reservation.
In October and April, winter tires are OPTIONAL and must be booked 24
hours in advance. The cost is

(tax included) per month.
Snow chains:

Child Safety Seat:

One Way: Not allowed.
Satellite
Navigator:
Incorporated in the groups

J, free of charge in all locations where this groups are available.
Portable units available for groups
A, B, D, I, H, O, L and K.
The unit must be returned to the pick up location, One Way is not allowed.
In case of loose or damage to the unit, the following charges will apply:
Unit lost: 350.-
Charger: 19,95.-
Unit case: 49.-
Unit base: 39,95.-
TOM TOM (Mobile GPS): 4.- per day plus tax,
up to a maximum of
40.- per
rental plus tax in others groups.

ONE WAY RENTALS |
|

One Way / Drop Off within the country:

(TAX included), Applies when the drop off is made in another city within Germany.
One Way Fee / Drop Off Charge:

This charge applies when,
being in Germany a customer changes the
Drop Off location confirmed in the
reservation for another one within the country.
Crossing to East
European countries from Germany, under the following conditions:
Cross border rentals allowed into all european countries and all car
groups. For exceptions see below:
To Zone 1: (Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Slowenia): No charge.
To Zone 2:
(Croatia, Bulgaria, Romania, Ukraine, Esthonia, Lithuania, Latvia):

The vehicle must be
returned to Germany.
Travel East rentals only available on car groups A, B, C, H, D, I, K, L & O
and only on the following make and models:
Opel, Mercedes A-Class, Volvo and Renault.
All Mercedes and BMW vehicles higher than group E are
not allowed to enter
Italy.
Only allowed to
cross to Sweden from Germany through the bridge in Denmark.
No
Cross border rentals permitted into:
Albania,
Belarus, Bosnia, Macedonia, Moldova, Serbia & Montenegro, Russia, Turkey and
Greece

In case of accident there will be a charge of
35.- plus the corresponding franchise.
In case of damage or theft of a
AVIS vehicle:
This rate applies to a reduced deductible of
100.-
If
CDW/TP
is accepted: Only the deductible will apply.
The
coverage CDW is mandatory for
drivers under 25 years old.
